Free Flash Media Player: Flowplayer

Flowplayer is an Open Source video player for the Web. Use it to embed video streams into your web pages which you can configured and styled to fit your needs. The skin is fully customizable. All colors, background colors, gradients and dimensions can be changed. You can also use background images or even a Flash object on the background.

Free Flash Pageflip Engine: MegaZine 3

MegaZine 3 is an open source and free Flash pageflip engine for presenting any content with a book-like interface where users can flip the pages. This means two things, basically: you don’t have to pay for it, and you can even modify it in any way you see fit. MegaZine 3 uses a completely dynamic approach, allowing full configuration through an external XML file. This makes it easy to set up books even if you do not even own the Flash IDE.

Logo Design Trend 2008 & 2009

A logo is a corporate identity, it reflects a business’s commercial brand via the use of shape, fonts, colour, and images. A logo is for inspiring trust, recognition and admiration for a company or product and it is our job as designers to create a logo that will do its job. A good logo must be simple, memorable, timeless, versatile, and of course, appropriate for its intended purpose.

Advertising: Lay’s – Potatoes Installation

Beginning July 27 and continuing for three weeks, passersby in Chicago’s Jackson Tunnel will be greeted with an out-of-home message, “Our potatoes are grown closer than you may think,” along with an overhead installation of potatoes breaking through the ceiling tiles. It’s part of a nationwide campaign for Lay’s potato chips that broke in May and which celebrates the local potato farmers who grow potatoes used in Lay’s potato chips. Branding: 2016 Olympics Logos, which one you like most?

Two months from now the International Olympic Committee will name the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympics. The International Olympics Committee (IOC) shortlisted four of the seven applicant cities—Chicago (United States), Madrid (Spain), Tokyo (Japan), and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); over Baku (Azerbaijan), Doha (Qatar), and Prague (Czech Republic)—on June 4, 2008 during the announcement in Athens, Greece. The results will be announced at the 121st IOC Session in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 2, 2009. Here are the 2016 Olympics logo designs submitted by the 7 applicant cities.
